Our impact pillars

Our goal is to move beyond carbon neutrality and actively support the social & environmental projects we believe in. A percentage of each ticket sold will go to each of the following areas:

1% For The Planet

“This is not philanthropy. This should be a cost of doing business. It’s paying rent for use of the planet.” — Yvon Chouinard, Founder of Patagonia and 1% For The Planet.

1% For the Planet is an non-profit organisation founded to help prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and promote accountability. The Ethical Assembly is a member of 1% for the Planet. Through this, we are committing 1% of all yearly sales, as well as team volunteering hours to environmental & social causes and organisations vetted by our partner.

Micro credits

According to the World Bank, over 700 million people live in extreme poverty and do not have access to basic healthcare, sanitation and education. Tens of millions of people have been lifted out of poverty through micro lending, small loans that change lives. We are partnering with one of the leading micro credit providers to attribute a percentage of each ticket sold as a micro credit. Our goal is to empower individuals, lift them out of poverty and help underserved communities flourish.

Ending hunger

10% of the world population still lives in hunger and it has been proven that top-down, aid-driven charity models fail to address the problem effectively. Facilitating education, empowering women, mobilising communities and engaging with governments are equally important in tackling poverty and famine. To help eradicate hunger, we are partnering with a leading NGO for their robust social programs and far-reaching impact.

Coral reef

Over half of the world’s reefs have already been destroyed and the survival of thousands of species is directly dependent on them. 25% of marine life get to call corals their home while corals cover less than 1% of the ocean floor, and more than 500 million people rely directly on coral reefs to provide them income, food and coastal protection. Healthy corals are critical to both humans and a thriving marine ecosystem; additionally, they play a crucial role in terms of global warming because they act as a carbon sink. Our goal is to help restore the abundance of our oceans. By partnering with Coral Gardeners, we are supporting the repopulation of reefs with resilient corals that have proven to survive bleaching events.

Rewilding & regeneration

With global deforestation at an all time high, protecting our forests is more important than ever before. We scouted for a reputable rewilding & biodiversity builder to lead our planting and soil regeneration efforts. Our goal is to use afforestation methods which are 100% natural and organic. We envision creating dense forests which feature native species and nurture biodiversity. Each ticket sold contributes to the Sugi Project, which is rewilding across the globe; through our investment each attendee becomes a forest steward too.
